The growing need for sustainable facilities has become a pressing issue in higher education institutions (HEIs). CCNY has found its sustainability efforts dwindling but recently, there has been a greater push for sustainability among the campus body. CCNY, as an institution, has begun taking steps to improve two aspects of its sustainability: setting and reaching goals centered on increasing sustainability in certain areas and ensuring that all students are exposed to sustainability concepts through various measures.
